Managed Service Programmes (MSPs)
MSPs refer to the outsourcing of contingent labour (temporary and contract workers). Across the Group, we operate various supply models within our MSP programmes, including:
- Neutral vendor: assignments are filled by a list of suppliers that we manage for the client, with no single supplier dominating the supply chain. Comensura is our specialist with a customer base which includes Alcatel Lucent, City of London and the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO)
- Master vendor: most assignments are filled directly by the Group and second-tier agencies are only used when the Group is unable to supply. Guidant, working closely with the expert brands within the Group, is our master vendor specialist. These innovative models combine the operational expertise of Guidant with the unrivalled delivery capability of the Group to the benefit of our customers. Examples include the John Lewis Partnership, British Airways and Syngenta
- Hybrid vendor: generalist roles are filled by a single/master supplier and niche roles are filled by multiple specialist suppliers. Guidant leads the market in this type of service, partnering with customers like Willis Insurance, and in the US, United Airlines, Shutterfly and Duke Energy.
Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPOs)
RPOs refer to the outsourcing of permanent recruitment. Through our RPO programmes we maximise candidate attraction through the use of our client’s brand, improve the candidate experience and increase selection efficiency. We also minimise agency spend; drive referral schemes and internal mobility; minimise hiring manager time in the process while maximising their experience; manage all aspects of the pre-employment screening process; generate employment contracts and support the on-boarding process. Key customers for this service include Friends Life, Eversheds and Diligenta.
Across all of our outsourced programmes we provide proprietary technology, dedicated resources (although not always based on the client’s premises), tried and tested processes and sophisticated supply chain management. The balance of each of these elements varies from client to client, depending on the challenges they face and the objectives of their programme.
