Management Accountant

Remote with monthly travel to our Luton office

The Role

We are recruiting a talented and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role reports to the Group Finance Business Partner and supports the USA finance team with a dotted line to the Accounting Manager based in the USA. The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, half-year, and annual reporting, as well as driving improvements to the financial reporting cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the financial performance in areas of responsibility, advising, supporting, and challenging key areas of risk and opportunities.
  • Perform month-end and year-end duties, ensuring financial accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with the Group Finance, Brand Finance teams, and Support Functions to deliver financial reports.
  • Support the USA finance team, ensuring alignment with the Group's financial objectives.
  • Drive improvements in the financial reporting cycle and contribute to the development of financial skills within the team.

About you

  • Experience of preparing management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Journals, Intercompany)
  • Highly proficient with Excel
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • High level of organisation
  • Demonstration of strong interpersonal and business partnering skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexibility to support the Finance team based in the USA
  • Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) - Minimum Part Qualified
