Position: Finance Systems Analyst

Location: Remote in England, with monthly travel for team meetings

Main Purpose of the role: As a Finance Systems Analyst at Impellam, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential financial system maintenance and support services to our internal users. You'll be the go-to expert for Impellam's Payroll, Billings, and Credit Services departments, ensuring seamless system configuration and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

§ Be a subject matter expert on all aspects of Impellam's financial systems, providing system configuration and maintenance to optimize their performance.

§ Support finance and business users, efficiently investigating and resolving system errors, data discrepancies, and queries.

§ Engage with staff, offering guidance and assistance over the phone and email to ensure smooth system usage and issue resolution.

§ Develop and update user guides, self-help documents, and FAQ resources to enhance customer product knowledge.

§ Take ownership of open calls, managing user expectations and adhering to agreed service levels.

§ Collaborate with team members to identify system changes, improvements, and developments, liaising with vendors, users, and the IT Team.

§ Work with third-party partners to resolve technical issues, ensuring timely resolution for users.

§ Contribute to system upgrades, including requirements gathering, documentation, configuration setup, and testing.

§ Proactively monitor systems and performance trends, taking corrective actions as needed to improve efficiency and prevent problems.

About you:

You will need to have the ability to make informed decisions regarding mission-critical applications, even in the absence of precedence, potentially impacting various areas of the company's operations. You'll have the capacity to handle job-related matters independently, seeking expert advice or guidance from the IT manager as needed.

Goal-oriented, driven to achieve challenging objectives, you are a logical thinker with great business acumen. Being an excellent relationship builder with both internal stakeholders at all levels as well as vendors, you will have 10/10 customer service with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

Experience and skills required:

§ Broad knowledge of ICT with a keen understanding of financial systems and processes.

§ Proficient troubleshooting skills with experience of automation, configuration management, and support processes.

§ Minimum 2 years of experience working with packaged applications/finance systems and database infrastructure in a commercial environment.

§ Demonstrable understanding of business processes and leveraging data to drive business benefits.

§ Exposure to financial systems and payroll-oriented applications processes.

§ Familiarity with application integration tools and techniques.

§ Strong written and verbal communication skills, conveying information clearly and concisely.

§ Well-developed time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

§ Experience with MS SQL Server and comprehensive knowledge of databases, reporting methods, and techniques.

§ Experience with Tempest is highly desirable.
