A great place to work: Tate named a platinum employer by Investors In People

Tate, our award-winning recruitment consultancy that provides high-calibre candidates for office support and specialist roles, has been given a platinum award by Investors In People – the highest level of accreditation possible. Only two per cent of organisations receive this honour, placing Tate in the top 20 of employers for ‘We invest in people’.

Tate scored 818 out of 900 in its assessment, compared to an Investors In People average benchmark of 727 and an industry benchmark of 764.

Of those Tate colleagues surveyed:

  • 94.7% believe there is a high level of transparency and trust between leaders and people across the organisation
  • 94.1% say they make decisions aligned to Tate’s values
  • 91.5% say there is a clear focus on the future
  • 93.4% say they are encouraged to share information and expertise across the organisation.

Investors In People found that Tate had maintained consistent levels of trust and strong leadership across the organisation, despite operating during a period of economic turmoil and uncertainty, and that remote working ‘has been very successful’. Its report notes that: “Tate were ahead of the game way before the pandemic influenced this way of working. Initiatives such as Tate Digital helped to provide a working platform that was already in motion across regions.”

The report also observes that Tate’s values are a key reason why people choose to remain working in the business. It highlights ‘a strong sense of cohesion’ – the result of Impellam Group’s culture of Virtuosity, which encourages collaboration and ideas sharing. It states: “The Virtuoso programme has a long-standing impact on individuals and teams, encouraging people to step out of their comfort zones. There is a tenacity and enthusiasm to succeed and be the best.”

David Clubb, Managing Director, Tate, says: “This assessment by Investors In People confirms what we already know: that our people make the difference. Despite the challenges of the last two years, they have pulled together to succeed, consistently demonstrating our key values such as our Winning Mentality. We remain committed to engaging, developing and empowering our people, and we’ll be analysing the results of the assessment to understand how we can make Tate an even better place to work.”
