Position Profile
 
The contents of this role profile outline the role and responsibilities of the Vice President of Recruiting and should be reviewed in conjunction with the Delegation of Authority, Organization Design Principles, RACI, Virtuoso Framework, and Leadership attributes.
 
Position objective:
The Vice President of Recruiting is an innovative leader responsible for partnering with senior leadership to drive organizational adaptability and growth, enhancing brand advocacy and ensuring market competitiveness.
 
This role requires a proactive leader skilled overseeing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle and driving efficiency, effectiveness and innovation within our recruiting team. The Vice President of Recruiting will involve building and refining recruiting strategies, optimizing processes, managing recruitment technology and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role will collaborate with senior leadership to scale recruitment operations while fostering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
 
The objective is to achieve sustained success and maintain the organization’s competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving market landscape.

Key responsibilities:
  • In alignment with the President of Lorien’s strategic priorities, drive revenue growth and market share, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters and recruitment leaders to foster a high-performance culture and ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain recruiting metrics and KPIs to measure the success of recruiting efforts.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure team members are equipped with the skills and resources
  • to be successful in their roles.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of recruitment processes to increase efficiency, speed, and quality of hires.
  • Implement best practices for sourcing, interviewing and hiring, ensuring that recruiting operations are scalable, data-driven, and aligned with company goals.
  • Partner with brand leadership to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for agility, growth, and productivity.
  • Optimize and champion the recruitment technology stack, including Applicant Tracking Systems, CRMs, recruitment marketing platforms and other tools.
  • Ensure that all recruitment practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process, ensuring diverse candidate pipelines and unbiased hiring practices.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership on ways to improve recruiting performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruiting performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Lorien leadership to ensure alignment on recruitment goals, initiatives, and processes.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management leaders to understand workforce needs and ensure recruitment strategies meet business objectives.
  • Partner with brand recruitment leaders, HR, Marketing and P&D to ensure teams are empowered with the skills, tools and information needed to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Model and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation by integrating agile and curiosity driven methodologies across teams.
  • Align diverse, specialized teams around shared strategic objectives to ensure cohesive execution of growth initiatives.
  • Act as a bridge between departments and brands, including the Impellam NA senior leadership team, Sales, Operations, HR, and Marketing to foster a culture of collaboration, alignment, innovation and data informed continuous improvement.
  • Drive measurable improvements in brand performance, customer satisfaction, and market competitiveness in alignment with leadership’s strategic objectives.

Work experience and attributes:
Essential:
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in recruiting operations or talent acquisition management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale change initiatives.
  • Proven track record of process optimization and driving efficiency within recruiting operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Analytical Expertise: Ability to lead a team using data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) and market intelligence platforms.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly and effectively.
  • Strategic Generalist: Curious and critical thinker capable of collaborating across various functions, solutions, and industries.
