Recruitment Business Partner - London

📍 City of London - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
📄 Permanent
💼 Salary: Competitive, with attractive benefits

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, commercially minded Recruitment Business Partner to join the Lorien team, supporting the continued growth of our MSP account with Howden.

This is a visible, relationship‑driven role where you'll act as the primary recruitment partner to hiring managers-building trust, advising on best practice, and ensuring every hire is delivered with quality, pace, and precision. You'll operate beyond BAU recruitment, bringing insight, influence, and problem‑solving to strengthen stakeholder relationships and enhance the overall recruitment experience.

If you thrive in dynamic MSP environments, enjoy partnering with senior stakeholders, and bring a consultative yet decisive approach-you'll feel right at home here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary recruitment partner to hiring managers within an MSP onsite environment.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from vacancy briefing through to offer management and onboarding.
  • Deliver a highly consultative, stakeholder‑focused service, offering expert advice and balancing client, candidate, and commercial needs.
  • Proactively challenge and guide stakeholders to ensure best practice, compliance, and strong outcomes.
  • Partner closely with the Lorien sourcing team to design and execute effective direct sourcing strategies.
  • Provide market intelligence, salary guidance, and recruitment insights to influence hiring decisions.
  • Ensure full adherence to client policies, SLAs, compliance, and data integrity requirements.
  • Manage and monitor third‑party agencies where required.
  • Maintain accurate MI and produce recruitment reporting that supports continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline delivery, and enhance stakeholder relationships.
  • Act as a custodian of the Lorien and Impellam brands, representing our values and educating stakeholders on our offering.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous recruitment experience-ideally within an MSP, RPO, or onsite
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence to challenge, influence, and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; tactful, articulate, and credible.
  • Analytical, methodical approach paired with strong problem‑solving capability.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Motivated, results‑driven, and able to act quickly and decisively.
  • Strong IT literacy and confidence using recruitment systems and reporting tools.

Desired:

  • Experience working within financial services or professional services accounts.
  • Experience delivering within complex, high‑volume or multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Exposure to data‑driven recruitment decision‑making or MI reporting.

What You'll Love About This Role

  • A growing, supportive MSP team embedded within a high‑profile client.
  • The chance to bring real influence, shape thinking, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Hybrid working with a collaborative, people‑first culture.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy or maternity or age.
